NORTH HAVEN – This month marks the 20th anniversary of the Day of Wine, Roses, and Brews fundraiser sponsored by the North Haven Rotary Club.
This year’s gathering will take place Sept. 25 on the grounds of Forget Me Not Florist, 39 State St. The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m.
Along with the traditional wine and beer tasting, the Day of Wine, Roses, and Brews 2022 will feature an international food festival, with 35 local restaurants participating.
Also, local act Second Nature Band CT and North Haven High School jazz band musicians will perform.
In addition to food, drinks and entertainment, there will be a raffle and silent auction.
“This is fun for all ages. It’s nice to be outside with music and have everyone’s companionship,” said Day of Wine, Roses, and Brews co-chair Susan Pace, who pointed out that the pandemic shut the fundraiser down for two years.
Proceeds generated from Day of Wine, Roses, and Brews support charitable causes and provide scholarships to local students.
“The money goes right back to the community,” Pace said. “Everything from food to liquor is donated for this event. We want everyone to have a good time.”
Tickets can be purchased for $40 via WineRosesAndBrews.com. At the door, tickets will be $45.
