Park Ridge Wine Walk will feature 25 pouring hosts Sept. 25.

The Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Wine Walk Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., featuring 25 locations where participants can sample a featured wine, and perhaps have a bite to eat.

Chamber of Commerce president Jackie Matthews said almost 200 people have signed up for the Sept. 25 event so far and they expect a last rush of signups as the walk approaches.

Tickets are $40 per participant. There will be non-alcoholic options and small bites available at the different locations for participants, who can walk from one pouring location to another, sampling wines.

“Even if you choose to not partake in the wine at the wine walk, there is plenty to do,” Matthews said.

The proceeds from the walk will help fundraise for the chamber, Mathews said.

People who attend the walk should expect a few surprises, she added. But her main goal for the event is the same goal she has for every chamber event: for people to “enjoy the opportunity to spend some time in our businesses, patronize businesses and learn about new businesses.”

Residents who want to sign up for the walk may do so at the Chamber of Commerce’s website.
