Bourbon, scotch, rye, rum, tequila, gin at WeHa Whiskey & Spirits Festival – Hartford Courant

The 9th Annual WeHa Whiskey & Spirits Festival, where 250 high-end varieties of bourbon, single-malt scotch, rye, rum, tequila and gin will be available for sampling, will take place on Sept. 24 in West Hartford.

The festival, which is organized by Maximum Beverage, is a fundraiser for Friends of Feeney, a West Hartford-based nonprofit that helps families who need assistance after unexpected tragedies.

Hartford Golf Club at 134 Norwood Road, where the event will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m., will provide the buffet. Foods will include carving stations, a mac-and-cheese bar, pizza, salad, wings, seafood and desserts.

General admission is $110 and includes all food and beverages. Discounts are offered when more than four tickets are bought. Designated drivers pay $60 for food and nonalcoholic drinks.

A limited number of $225 tickets are available for the VIP Tasting before the event. The VIP event will feature rare whiskies, complimentary tasting glasses, complimentary cigars and access to a cigar-smoking area. It also includes admission to the main tent event.
