There’s not a whole lot more British than an afternoon tea, complete with a heated discussion about how to eat scones.
This year, a celebration of afternoon tea – Afternoon Tea Week – runs from August 8 to 14. Afternoon Tea Week pays tribute to one of the nation’s favourite traditions and we are all for getting involved.
Whether you enjoy it in a five-star hotel, a tearoom, or as a homebaked treat, the much-loved combination of savoury and sweet treats washed down with a good cuppa (or something a little more sparkly if you’re inclined!) is always a nice treat. With this in mind, we’ve taken a look at the best places to get afternoon tea in the Lake District, according to TripAdvisor.
