Accent Wine Parlor Is Now Open In The Historic Citizens Building

There’s a new wine shop in town.

Accent Wine Parlor opened last week downtown at 49 N. High Street in the historic Citizens Building. At the helm of the shop is Sommelier Gregory Stokes and Chef Joshua Dalton of Veritas, both of whom are known in central Ohio for their wine knowledge.

“We created Accent because we saw that no one was doing wine retail the way that we thought it should be done,” Stokes says. “Wine has this old, dusty, pretentious mystique, but wine is supposed to be fun! It’s just crazy delicious juice. I am so excited to be able to open Accent and make the greatest beverage in the world accessible to everyone through bespoke service, tastings, and classes in a fun, intimate setting.”

Visitors to Accent will find wine to fit every budget, offering everything from $10 bottles to collector’s wines worth ten times that. There will be classes and tastings offered at Accent if you want to visit in-person and you can view every bottle of wine online for delivery anywhere in the Columbus metro area.

“Veritas offered an online wine delivery service during COVID and it was a massive success, so we are hoping to continue that magic. We know that if you live in Westerville coming downtown for wine can be a pain, and we knew that making great wine accessible to the suburbs was essential” said Stokes.
