MARQUETTE — Sawyer International Airport has announced it will be offering specialty coffee in the security checkpoint for its passengers waiting to board their flight.

Sawyer is partnering with Velodrome Coffee to provide ultra-high-quality fresh brewed cups of coffee with the convenience of simple self-service at the press of a button — 24/7. A release from the airport states: “The Franke Freshbrew coffee machine carries several coffee flavors including Velodrome’s One Speed (light roast), Night Rider (Dark Roast), and decaf coffees. These same machines can be found in every American Airlines Admirals club across the globe. The machine accepts cards and other contactless forms of payment and is designed to be incredibly easy to use.”

Velodrome Coffee Company is a 100% locally owned and operated cafe.

The release further states: “Sawyer International Airport and Velodrome Coffee are happy to provide a taste of home to local travelers and a sample of our community for those visiting the Marquette area.
