Entertainers, Rides, Beer Garden Highlight Arlington County Fair

ARLINGTON, VA — The 2021 Arlington County Fair is being held once again at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center this weekend, with rides, food, exhibits and an entertainment stage.

The fair includes stage performances in the entertainment tent by local and regional artists, children’s activities like face painting and bounce houses and amusement rides.

On Friday, outdoor hours at the fair run from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and indoor hours from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday, both outdoor and indoor fair festivities begin at 10 a.m., with indoor fair events ending at 9 p.m. and outdoor events ending at 11 p.m. On Sunday, the fair begins at 11 a.m. and ends indoors at 7 p.m. and outdoors at 10 p.m.

Performances inside the entertainment tent, located on the turf field, include Gabrielle Zwi on Friday from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., Arlingtones on Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., The Canales Bros on Friday from 8:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Pie Eating Championship on Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. and the Old Dominion Cloggers on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Entry to the fair is free. Cole Shows Amusement Company will be providing amusement rides, midway games and food for fair-goers. Tickets for the rides can be purchased online in advance, or at the fair.

New District Brewing will be sharing its craft beers inside the fair’s beer garden, located on S. Old Glebe Road near the fair’s shuttle service.

There is limited public parking at the fair in the garage located on S. Old Glebe Road. Once that garage is full, off-site parking is available at the Faith Lutheran Church at 3313 Arlington Blvd. The public can take the pedestrian bridge over Route 50 to get to the fair.

Parking is also available at the Arlington Career Center at 816 S. Walter Reed Dr. Parking on nearby streets is restricted to neighborhood residents with temporary permits.

Shuttles will operate continuously throughout the fair between the Arlington Career Center parking lot and the Quincy Parking Deck at 4001 N. 15th St and the fairgrounds. The shuttles will be operated by Arlington Public Schools and will be school buses.
