TEXARKANA, Texas — HandsOn Texarkana will hold its 13th annual TAPAS and Wine Event Friday on the grounds of the Collins Building, 1915 Olive Street.

HandsOn is once again presenting wine and food by Chef Jeff Loving, as they did at last year’s event. The event will also have the same 1920’s theme.

“TAPAS and Wine is our fundraiser just to help keep our programs going,” Administrative Assistant Shanna Mudford said.

As usual, there will be a silent auction and a live band. Mudford said those who cannot participate in person can donate via auction by visiting HandsOn’s Facebook page or website.

She said that while a concrete monetary goal hasn’t been set, HandsOn is trying to make up funds from not being able to host the 2021 Dragon Boat Festival.

Last year, HandsOn exceeded its goal of $30,000.

Tickets are $100.

Smile on the Line, a digital photo booth company, will also be at the event.

“We’re changing up a few things just to make it a bit newer,” Mudford said. “We’re really excited, and that will be something that we haven’t had in the past.”

Some of HandsOn’s programs include its youth volunteer organization, skilled parenting programs and senior transportation program, which expanded its services last year to provide food and groceries to senior adults.

The event begins at 6 p.m.
