Restaurateur and hospitality pro Angie Giannakodakis takes you on a tour of Greece through free tastings of six Greek wines, all delivered to your home.
While bottle shops and restaurant menus are heavily lined with wines from Italy, France and Australia, there are also stellar bottles coming out of Greece. And hospitality legend Angie Giannakodakis is shining a spotlight on 22 producers with free tastings over three evenings.
She’s partnering with Greek regional authority Xinomavro-Naoussa to showcase wines from the region – notably made with the Xinomavro grape variety, which lends a rich tannic character to the bottles.
Epocha will deliver boxes with tasting samples of six wines (chosen from the 22 winemakers), plus a selection of matching canapes. Guests will also be sent a Zoom link to join Giannakodakis and learn about each individual wine and producer.
All packs are free. Delivery is only available within five kilometres of Epocha (in Carlton).
Sessions run at 6pm every evening from Friday August 27 to Sunday August 29.
